License
Subject to these terms and Apple’s applicable usage rules, Quarry grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer, interfere with, or exploit Quarry except where applicable law permits.
Your records and responsibilities
You retain ownership of trip records, notes, photos, and other content you create or import. Quarry stores that content locally and does not receive a license to host or publish it. You are responsible for the content you enter, the legality of photos and information you record, and maintaining any exports or backups you need.
Quarry has no account system or cloud recovery service. We cannot retrieve a deleted record, recover a removed app container, or restore an archive from a lost device.
Responsible outdoor use
You are responsible for following hunting, fishing, camping, land-access, licensing, wildlife, fire, safety, and other laws and rules that apply to you. Quarry does not grant access to private land or verify seasons, boundaries, regulations, closures, permits, or safe conditions.
Do not rely on Quarry as an emergency, navigation, survival, medical, or weather-warning service. Maps, pins, weather, moon phases, and generated prompts may be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. Use official sources, appropriate equipment, and your own judgment in the field.
Weather, maps, and third-party services
Optional weather information is provided using Open-Meteo data. Maps are provided through Apple MapKit. These services may change, become unavailable, or return incomplete information. Their separate terms and privacy policies apply to their processing. Quarry may provide manual alternatives but does not guarantee data accuracy or availability.
Guided journal prompts
Guided journal prompts are optional writing aids. Some supported devices may use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework to personalize questions. Generated prompts can be inaccurate, inappropriate, or incomplete. Review them before use. They do not represent professional advice and should not be used to make safety, legal, medical, or wildlife-management decisions.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Quarry to violate laws, trespass, harass, stalk, or endanger people or wildlife.
- Attempt to disrupt, probe, bypass, or misuse Quarry or connected services.
- Use the app to infringe privacy, intellectual property, or other rights.
- Misrepresent Quarry data as an official boundary, forecast, regulation, or safety notice.
Purchases
Quarry currently has no subscriptions, in-app purchases, advertising, or paid account features. If that changes, applicable pricing and purchase terms will be shown before purchase and these terms will be updated.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features to improve Quarry, address security or legal requirements, or respond to changes in third-party services. We do not promise that every feature will always be available on every device or operating-system version.
Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quarry is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or data preservation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quarry and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; lost data, opportunities, or profits; personal injury or property loss arising from field activity; or reliance on maps, weather, moon phases, prompts, or other app content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Termination
You may stop using Quarry at any time. Your license ends if you materially violate these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.
Apple terms
Apple is not responsible for Quarry or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce the terms relating to your app license. Your use also remains subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and applicable App Store rules.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law. Contact quarryoutdoorsapp@gmail.com with questions.
